To offer the Le Monde’s readers a personalized and relevant choice of reading.

In 2012, we offered the newspaper Le Monde a social tool allowing the discover of their articles via Facebook. In order to not cannibalize the audience of lemonde.fr and to offer an extra feature, we imagined a social reader, based on recommendations, in which the user can discover the articles read and shared by his friends.

The algorithm used goes beyond by allowing an extra filter that adjusts itself to the user customary readings. Thus users interested by a topic is proposed more articles linked to the topic.

The app is no longer available on the newspaper’s Facebook page but has totaled thousands of users and allowed to significantly increase the traffic from the social network to the newspaper’s website.
